At MGM China’s annual general meeting on May 25, Chairman and Executive Director Bill Hornbuckle and Chairwoman and Executive Director Pansy Ho were reelected to the company board.
At the same meeting, Chen Yau Wong resigned as an executive director to be replaced by Jeny Lau.
According to Inside Asian Gaming, Lau has spent eight years as chief operating officer and director of a private Hong Kong company, Grand Paradise Group (HK) Ltd., and joined MGM China’s Compliance Committee in 2021.
She was previously COO and director of Phoenix Property Investors, a regional private equity real estate fund, where she led the finance and accounting departments and oversaw back-of-house operations, fund administration and project financing. She is also a former director of corporate finance at Hong Kong’s Shun Tak Holdings Ltd.
Two other directors were re-elected at the meeting, including Daniel Taylor and Chee Ming Liu. Along with Ho and Hornbuckle, each received strong support from shareholders, ranging from 97 percent to almost 100 percent.
