Howard previously was vice president and general manager at DiamondJacks Resort Casino in Bossier City. Owned by the Chitmacha Tribe of Louisiana, Cypress Bayou has 730 employees.

Howard Leads Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel

Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel in Charenton, Louisiana recently named Mike Howard general manager and chief executive officer. In his new position, Howard will oversee daily operations and lead a team of more than 730 employees. Most recently, Howard served as vice president and general manager at DiamondJacks Resort Casino in Bossier City and also held an executive position with Peninsula Gaming.

Melissa Darden, chairman of the Chitmacha Tribe of Louisiana, which owns the property, said, “Mike has unique qualifications and boundless enthusiasm for our business. He is not a stranger to the Acadiana area and understands the unique position of our business.
