ICE VOX, the educational program coinciding with London’s ICE Totally Gaming trade show at London’s ExCeL Centre February 6-8, has added a conference stream titled “Sports Betting USA.”
The new track focuses on growing demand for sports betting expertise, products, technology and innovation following the Sports Betting USA conference held in New York last November, and the U.S. Supreme Court’s hearing on the appeal of New Jersey’s sports betting law that challenges the U.S. Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act, the federal law banning sports betting in all but a few U.S. states.
The conference stream will examine the potential rollout in sports betting programs in the U.S., should the federal ban be declared unconstitutional by the court or otherwise repealed by Congress. Sessions will focus on scenarios for legal U.S. sports betting, profitability models, complexities for tribal casinos and other topics.
“Drawing on the resounding success of the Sports Betting USA in New York City in November and the Supreme Court hearings that make legalized sports betting even more viable now in the U.S., we’ve decided to add this conference to the ICE VOX offering to respond to the anticipated demand from U.S. organizations coming to learn and from global sports book providers in need to understand how to develop business in this promising emerging new market,” said Sports Betting USA event organizer Ewa Bakun, according to the CDC Newswire.
The nine tracks of ICE VOX 2018 begin Monday, February 5 with the World Regulatory Briefing and International Casino Conference. On Tuesday, February 6, a second World Regulatory Briefing session will be held, as well as sessions on Data Science and Personalization and eSports. Wednesday, February 7 will feature sessions on Blockchain, Cybercrime and Security, Modernizing Lotteries and the Sports Betting USA session.
