iGNA to Feature Closed-Door Regulation Session

The iGaming North America Conference will feature a closed-door session on regulating online gaming featuring officials of key technology vendors.

Next month’s iGaming North America Conference will feature a closed-door session for regulators. Titled “Balancing the Needs of Consumers, Governments and Licensed Operators in a Regulated Framework,” the session is tailored to government regulators, lottery officials and public policymakers.

A 12-year veteran of the industry will offer specific examples of what he describes as the “good, the bad and the ugly” in terms of regulated frameworks. This interactive session will offer government representatives the chance to explore real-world scenarios and determine how best to build a system that achieves the core objectives of all stakeholders.

“Any regulator or policymaker interested in understanding the do’s and don’ts of regulating online gaming will find this session informative,” said moderator Susan Hensel, who is director of licensing for the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. “You will hear industry experts discuss their real-life online gaming experiences as we explore how to create an effective regulatory environment that protects the public interest while growing a successful marketplace.”

In addition to Hensel, the expert speakers include Jeffrey Haas, group director of poker for bwin.party Digital Entertainment; and Anna Sainsbury, CEO of GeoComply.

The iGaming North America Conference will take place April 14-16 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
