Leading slot manufacturer International Game Technology announced the launch of the legendary Quartermania quarter-denomination wide-area progressive slot on the revamped S3000 stepper platform.
Quartermania was the popular follow-up to Megabucks, the original wide-area progressive launched in 1986, which was a dollar-only link. It is the latest popular IGT title to be relaunched on the re-engineered and improved S3000 platform, which replaces the longtime workhorse S2000 hardware.
IGT has introduced the Quartermania WAP at leading tribal casinos across the U.S., including California’s Barona Casino, Connecticut’s Foxwoods Resort Casino,. Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida.
“IGT is confident that our Quartermania game delivers the ultimate mix of entertaining content, cutting-edge hardware and big jackpot potential,” said Victor Duarte, IGT global chief product officer, gaming. “Slot enthusiasts have enjoyed this legacy theme for years, and now they can find everything they love about the newly released version of the Quartermania game on our award-winning S3000 spinning-reel cabinet.”
The Quartermania game on the S3000 cabinet is a new take on the classic community progressive. When players trigger a “Quartermania” jackpot or a “Mini Mania” progressive, the game’s quarter-stacked icon, “Q,,” stars in a synchronized light and sound show that is displayed across the entire bank of machines. Neighboring players are inspired to join in on the celebration, creating a high-energy party atmosphere on the casino floor.
