International Game Technology has entered into a wide-ranging sports betting partnership with GN NV Holdings, owner and operator of Golden Nugget Casinos.

Under the deal, IGT PlaySports will power retail and mobile sports betting at three Golden Nugget Casino locations. Golden Nugget Casino Lake Tahoe has already gone live with the IGT solutions.

Both Golden Nugget Casino Las Vegas and Golden Nugget Casino Laughlin will also roll out PlaySports-powered sportsbooks later this year. Retail betting will be first to launch, with online to follow soon after.

The casinos will also offer IGT PlaySports. QuickBet self-service betting kiosks. In addition, the three properties will be able to leverage IGT’s Trading Advisory Services team.

Golden Nugget Seeks To Enhance Player Experience

Commenting on the partnership, Gerry Del Prete, chief operating officer of gaming at Fertitta Entertainment, which owns GN NV Holdings, said this will help improve player experience across all three casinos.

“Nevada sports bettors are savvy and experienced players,” Del Prete said. “As we reintroduce Golden Nugget’s betting program, our priority is to deliver a seamless and enhanced experience with user-friendly technology that offers outstanding features, including advanced betting options and real-time updates to keep players engaged.”

Joe Bertolone, senior vice president of sports betting at IGT, also talked up the new deal. He said this will allow the operator to offer a more localized service to players in Nevada.

“Given the scale and maturity of Nevada’s sports betting market, adding three Golden Nugget Casinos to IGT PlaySports’ customer roster is an achievement that speaks to the quality of our technology and team,” Bertolone, said.
