Casinos in Manitoba, Canada have begun reopening more than four months after they were closed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The first to reopen was South Beach Casino (l.).

In Manitoba, Casinos Begin to Reopen

Casinos in the Canadian province of Manitoba have been given the go-head to reopen under Phase 4 guidelines. The first to reopen was South Beach Casino on July 25.

The casinos, operated by Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries, have been closed for more than four months.

South Beach at 30 percent capacity, for a maximum of 445 customers and employees and about 460 slot machines in operation. Along with Club Regent and McPhillips Station, it doesn’t require masks but does suggest them, constantly sanitizes machines between player use, and maintains sanitation stations throughout.

Smaller areas where social distancing can’t be enforced will remain closed, and table games have been removed.
