The agreement will see Intralot continue to provide its Electronic Monitoring System (EMS) solution for Class 4 (non-casino) gaming machines. Intralot agreed to the extension through its Intralot New Zealand subsidiary.
The DIA has exercised a one-year extension option in the current EMS agreement. This will extend the existing deal, which had been due to expire next month, to May 2025.
As such, the six-year renewal will run from 2026 to 2032, with a one-year further extension option.
Intralot Pledges Advanced Monitoring Solutions
Intralot introduced EMS in March 2007 to track and monitor gaming machines in Class 4 venues including pubs and clubs. By doing so, Intralot said this ensures the integrity of games and accurate financial reporting.
The DIA in New Zealand will continue to benefit from the EMS platform. Intralot has also made several upgrades to the solution to enable new range of “advanced services and functionalities.”
In addition, Intralot’s services will fully support responsible gaming requirements in New Zealand.
“The extension builds on long-standing partnership of Intralot and the DIA,” Intralot said. “It demonstrates our company’s successful collaboration in implementing and operating the EMS platform in New Zealand to the highest industry standards.
“Our world-class platform and EMS services are fully aligned with the International Gaming Standards Association. They meet the most comprehensive regulatory requirements.”
This extension follows Intralot’s recent project with Nebraska’s Charitable Gaming Division in the U.S. to implement a real-time monitoring system set to launch soon. Intralot’s system is already operational in Victoria in Australia and both Georgia and Ohio in the U.S.
