Imperial Pacific International, the Hong Kong-listed company formerly known as First Natural Foods Holdings Ltd., recently announced the appointment of veteran casino executive Yiu Ling Kwong as chief operating officer of its new Saipan resort. Kwong most recently served as an executive vice president of casino operations for Macau-based MGM China Holdings Ltd.
According to a filing, Kwong has more than 40 years of experience in the Macau gaming industry, “overseeing and providing expert support on casino and gaming operations as well as staff training and development,” the company stated.
Kwong also helped open the Pharaoh’s Palace Casino, which is controlled by Macau Legend Development Ltd. He also served as chief operating officer of Altira Macau, a casino owned by Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd.
His staff at Imperial Pacific will include Ho Ieng Kun as senior vice president of table games and Cheang Ka Hou as senior vice president of slot operations.
Imperial Pacific also announced that it has appointed Eugene Raymond Sullivan as an independent non-executive director of the company for a one-year renewable term, the filing added. Sullivan is a retired federal judge from Washington D.C. and a partner in the law firm of Pepper Hamilton LLP.
