Paddy Power has seen so much interest in wagering on what U.S. President Donald Trump is up to, that it has appointed Joe Lee head of Trump Betting.
The Irish bookmaker said that Lee, an experienced betting market trader, will serve in the role “as long as Donald Trump remains president.”
The bookmaker says it is serious about bets on Trump and has launched a specific hub for Trump bets, in which the bookmaker services over 100 dedicated markets. The company also asserts the appointment will help it recoup more than £4 million paid-out to bettors when Trump won the presidency last year.
“There’s no one in the world like Donald Trump and people are fascinated by him,” Lee told Britain’s Sun newspaper. “He is far more popular than Brexit was with the betting public.”
