Jordan Resigns SkyCity Board

SkyCity Entertainment Group of Australia and New Zealand announced last week that board member Murray Jordan will leave effective September 30.

Jordan joined the board in December 2016, and became chairman of the company’s People and Culture Committee in January 2018. He also oversaw development of SkyCity’s New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) and Horizon Hotel project in Auckland, chairing the board’s NZICC sub-committee.

Earlier this month, SkyCity was compelled to close its Auckland, Hamilton and Queenstown locations, due to snap Covid-19 nationwide lockdowns. The measured follow a single positive Covid-19 case in the Auckland community, which was traced to a SkyCity casino.
