Kangwon Land, the only South Korean casino that permits Korean nationals to gamble, is expected to reopen to the public on July 6.
The resort has been closed since February 23, and has postponed its planned reopening several times due to fluctuations in Covid-19 cases.
Most recently, executives at the casino in Gangwon Province decided that the risks of a new Covid-19 outbreak remained unacceptably high, particularly as the property draws of its patrons from Seoul and other metropolitan, where the pandemic has not been fully controlled.
