Philadelphia-based KGM Gaming, which normally supplies casinos with seating, slot cabinets and other equipment, has developed several patent-pending products to aid casinos in returning to operations safely after the Covid-19 shutdown ends.

KGM, which already had retooled part of its plants to produce face shields for use by health care workers at local hospitals, has developed transparent “protection panels” to be used as barriers between slot machines as an anti-virus measure. The panels are easily mounted and removed on any gaming machines.

The company also is producing cashier protection panels, sanitizing station endcaps and other safety products to ease the return to business.

“It was important for KGM to develop products to meet the needs of our customers in these unprecedented times,” KGM Operations VP jack McNamara told CDC Gaming Reports. “We all want things to get back to normal, and with this new product line, KGM is able to provide the comfort and safety customers need to feel confident to re-enter casinos.”
