Leather Named ComplianceOnline Director

ComplianceOnline hired Richard Leather as legal and research director, responsible for enhancing current regulatory content and strengthening the brand. Leather previously worked at ComplianceOnline as a legal analyst for GamblingCompliance, which he joined in 2012. Prior to rejoining ComplianceOnline, Leather was head of regulatory and licensing at Betclic Everest Group.

Richard Leather has been named legal and research director at ComplianceOnline, a leading provider of business intelligence to the global gambling and payments industries. He will be responsible for enhancing existing regulatory content and identifying new ways to strengthen the ComplianceOnline brand.

Leather previously worked at ComplianceOnline as a legal analyst for the GamblingCompliance division, which he joined in 2012. There he researched regulatory developments in the European and international online and land-based gambling industry.

Prior to rejoining ComplianceOnline, Leather was head of regulatory and licensing at Betclic Everest Group, where he advised on gambling regulation and risk, managed local licensing initiatives and made sure the company complied with UK gambling regulations. Leather also was a member of the legal committee of the European Gaming and Betting Association. He trained with international law firm Eversheds LLP and also holds a degree in history from University College London.
