Just in time for the Chinese New Year, Lisboeta Macau has opened its latest hotel, the 164-room Maison L’Occitane. The brand name may be familiar to some: the hotel is the first themed hotel of global beauty and skincare brand L’Occitane. Its design was inspired by Provence in southern France.
Lisboeta is operated by Macau Theme Park And Resort Ltd., a company linked to Angela Leong, Macau lawmaker and managing director of SJM Holdings, and her son Arnaldo Ho, whose father is the late casino giant Stanley Ho. It opened in July 2021 and offers three hotels with a total of 820 rooms, including the 574-room Lisboeta Hotel and 82-room Casa de Amigo.
Lisboeta is adjacent to the Grand Lisboa Palace, SJM’s HK$39 billion (US$5 billion) integrated resort in the city’s Cotai district. GLP opened in July 2021 with the 1,350-room Grand Lisboa Palace Macau hotel, followed by its own themed hotel, 271-room Karl Lagerfeld hotel, which opened in December.
Rooms and suites come in four different L’Occitane-inspired themes representing their “most iconic natural ingredients”: Immortelle, Verbena, Cherry Blossom and Shea Butter.
