According to Lithuanian media, Lithuanian president Dalia Grybauskait? has signed amendments to the national Gaming Law which implement regulations for online gambling.

Lithuania and the Netherlands are the only member states of the European Union where online gambling is not regulated and the amendments are the first step towards regulation in Lithuania.

The amendments say that online gambling in the country must be organized only by companies that are certified, licensed and supervised by Lithuania’s Gaming Control Authority. The amendments also make promoting unlicensed site illegal in Lithuania.
