Machine-Makers Test Games at Idaho Casino

Coeur d’Alene Casino in Worley, Idaho recently opened the 2,200-square-foot Discovery Den, featuring the tribal gaming industry’s first gaming machine testing ground. Each quarter, the area will rotate new products from AGS, Bluberi, Everi, Konami, Scientific Games, Gaming Arts and other manufacturers. The space features about 30 games, said Coeur d’Alene Casino Chief Executive Officer Laura Penney.

“To be recognized as a location to feature these new games is an honor. The area will provide gaming manufacturers a place to test their latest technology. The latest innovative video gaming machines will be revealed right here,” she said.

Currently, the 100,000-square-foot casino offers 1,200 Class I and Class II bingo-based video gaming machines and a high-stakes bingo room. Opened in 1993, the facility also features a 300-room hotel, seven restaurants, spa and events center. The resort’s Circling Raven Golf Club was this week ranked number 120 on GolfWeek’s Top 200 Resort Golf Courses in the United States.
