Malaysian authorities, using a 1953 law, have blocked 530 illegal online gaming sites form operating in the country.
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, said that the blocks had been made at the request of the Royal Malaysian Police. He said the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission cooperated with the effort by providing technical assistance for issues involving gambling activities.
