LET Westside, an integrated resort (IR) now under development in Manila, Philippines, has announced three executive appointments. Chief among them is Damian Quayle, former chief operating officer at Australia’s Star Entertainment. Quayle will serve as executive vice president of operations at LET Westside, which is expected to open in late 2024.
In other appointments, Kevin Forde joins as vice president of table games, and Ian Garner is the new vice president of electronic gaming machines.
According to Inside Asian Gaming, Forde worked in Macau for Big 6 gaming concessionaire Galaxy Entertainment Group, first as casino operations Manager at StarWorld, then as assistant vice president of mass gaming at Galaxy Macau. Most recently, he worked with Quayle as general manager of product and strategy for Star Entertainment.
Garner’s resume includes stints at IRs across Asia. In Macau, he previously managed slot operations at the Venetian Macau, the MGM Grand and Wynn Palace. He also worked at the Grand Ho Tram resort in Vietnam. He comes to LET Westside from Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa, a Genting property, where he served as vice president of gaming operations.
LET Westside is a US$1.1 billion resort being developed by Suntrust Resort Holdings, the Philippines subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed LET Group Holdings, formerly the Suncity Group. It will offer a 450-room hotel and a casino with 400 gaming tables and 1,200 slot machines.
