Mark Brown, onetime president of the Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s Macau properties, has vacated his post as chairman of Imperial Pacific International, which operates the sole casino resort on the South Pacific island of Saipan.
According to the Saipan Tribune, Brown did not return to Saipan after leaving for the holidays in December.
Brown is the former president of the Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s Macau properties and oversaw the opening of the Venetian Macao. In 2014 he joined IPI as CEO of the company’s temporary casino, Best Sunshine Live, located at a shopping mall in Saipan, which garnered international headlines due to its high volumes of VIP play.
Last February, Brown became non-executive chairman of IPI. Local media reported that Brown left due to “family reasons.”
Saipan is part of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, a U.S. Pacific jurisdiction.
