Virgin Hotels Las Vegas owner JC Hospitality has appointed Chad Brown as vice president of marketing.
Brown will be responsible for developing and driving marketing strategy for JC Hospitality and lead the marketing team for the off-Strip resort, formerly the Hard Rock Las Vegas, which is being redeveloped under its new brand and is slated to open later this year.
The property will feature 1,100 hotel rooms and a casino operated by Mohegan Gaming, a division of Connecticut’s Mohegan Indian Tribe.
A 20-year industry veteran, Brown most recently served as vice president of marketing operations for MGM Resorts International. He began his career at Treasure Island on the Las Vegas Strip when it was owned by MGM and also has held executive-level marketing positions on the Strip with the company’s Luxor, Mandalay Bay and Bellagio resorts.
“Chad is a tremendous addition to our executive team,” said JC Hospitality CEO Richard Bosworth. “He brings a vast amount of knowledge and industry experience specific to Las Vegas.”
