Casino veteran and former Caesars Entertainment executive Don Marrandino is back in Las Vegas and reportedly about to assume a top-tier job at the Hard Rock Hotel.
Marrandino most recently was in charge of Caesars’ four properties in Atlantic City. He resigned his post there in January 2013 and his position reportedly was eliminated. According to the Las Vegas Sun, the Atlantic City native has been talking with representatives from AEG, which books shows in partnership with the Hard Rock, about injecting new life into the entertainment lineup there. Marrandino is known as a rock-and-roll fan and intimate of rockers like Sammy Hagar.
His most recent position in Las Vegas was for Harrah’s Entertainment, now Caesars Entertainment, as president of the Flamingo, Harrah’s, the Imperial Palace, Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon and O’Shea’s. He was replaced by Rick Mazer in August 2009.
