Maryland’s five casinos enjoyed their seventh consecutive month of year-on-year gaming revenue increases in June, generating .3 million.
The increase was just over 2 percent compared to June 2015, according to official figures released last week, and came mainly from slot play, which totaled $59.4 million, the rest coming from table play, including poker, which generated $2.48 million. June 2015’s total was $2.8 million.
Maryland Live! led the market with $53.7 million of June’s gaming win.
The casinos set a monthly revenue record of $104.4 million in May.
The market is expected to see a big boost later this year with the opening of MGM Resorts International’s $1.3 billion casino at National Harbor.
