MGM China Names Meng as Director

Shanghai attorney Simon Meng has joined the board of MGM China as an independent non-executive director. Meng is a partner at Linklaters specializing in cross-border M&A, direct investments and joint ventures in China and has advised numerous Chinese and multinational corporations.

Shanghai-based attorney Simon Meng has been appointed to the board of Hong Kong-listed MGM China as an independent non-executive director. Meng is a partner at Linklaters specializing in cross-border M&A, direct investments and joint ventures in China and has advised numerous Chinese and multinational corporations. He was also appointed to the firm’s audit committee.

In a filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. MGM China said Meng has practiced law in France, the United States and Hong Kong.

With Meng’s appointment, the MGM China board consists of James Murren, Pansy Ho, Chen Yau Wong, Bill Hornbuckle, and Grant Bowie as executive directors; Kenneth Feng, James Freeman, and John McManus as non-executive directors; and Zhe Sun, Patricia Lam, Russell Banham, and Meng as independent non-executive directors.
