The Midori Clark Hotel Casino has opened in Clark Freeport, the Philippines. According to a statement from the company, Dr. Irineo Alvaro, president of BBI, said the new casino is “the first pillar that shall open wide investment, bigger and bolder.
“We have made the first step that shall trigger other steps, which are bigger and much better,” he said, in a toast at the casino’s soft opening April 27. A multibillion-dollar theme park, the Aqua Planet, will open at the resort in early 2017.
Midori debuted with slot machines by Aristocrat, the statement said, whose products will help the company “create the world’s greatest gaming experience every day.
“No one in the country has this kind of material. It’s the benchmark we are introducing for gaming and recreation here at Midori Casino,” he said. “It is the first intelligent table gaming.”
The casino soft opened with 140 machines and 12 gaming tables. Eventually, it will add 20 more gaming machines and 27 additional tables. The 9,900-square-meter (106,500-square-foot) property also plans to have 111 rooms, a 400-capacity ballroom, five dining outlets, a gym and spa, a karaoke venue, mahjong rooms and a swimming pool.
