Millionaires Casino to Return to Kenya

Millionaires Casino is set to relaunch its Nairobi operations on August 31.

According to a statement from the company, the casino will bring in “a Las Vegas experience” to Kenyan gamblers, plus “class and sophistication to close a gap that has remained vacant.

“The new Millionaires Casino will be located at the expansive Two Rivers Mall and is set to offer a luxurious environment for our valued players within its state-of-the-art facility,” the statement continued. “Clients are set to benefit from mind boggling prizes, in an amazingly entertaining environment.”

The original Millionaires Casino closed after a 2013 terrorist siege at the Westside Mall in Nairobi. The attack began on September 21 when heavily armed militants turned the shopping center into a war zone. By the end of a four-day siege, 67 people were dead and more than 200 were wounded. Al-Shabaab, a Somalia-based terrorist group that has pledged allegiance to al Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the attack.

The reopening “is a timely comeback since the country’s need for job opportunities is growing,” said Millionaires Casinos’ Manager Atilla Torok said. “We are back because of customers’ non-stop demand.”

Millionaires Casino Nairobi is part of the Millionaires Gaming Africa Group, which operates casinos around the world.
