Mississippi Casino Announces Waterfront Hotel Tower

The Silver Slipper Casino in Hancock County, Mississippi announced a $75 million expansion project, including a new hotel tower, spa and entertainment and meeting venue. With 176 rooms, the new hotel will bring the total number of rooms and suites to more than 300.

The new hotel tower will be built out over the water on the former Jubilee pier, and every room will be waterfront. “It’s actually pretty spectacular,” said Silver Slipper General Manager John Ferrucci.

He said the expansion has been planned for more than a year, but wasn’t possible until owner Full House Resorts recently finalized the terms of a 30-year tidelands lease with Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson. The agreement is expected to be signed in the next few weeks.
