Mississippi Casinos Reinstate Face Mask Rules

Two casinos in Mississippi are once again requiring face masks as Covid-19 cases continue to increase.

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians’ Pearl River Resort and Bok Homa Casino in Philadelphia said the new mask requirement includes staff and guests. They added the mask rule will be temporary.

Scarlet Pearl in D’Iberville also reinstated its mask mandate for employees. In addition, management continues to provide a $150 incentive to team members for each vaccination shot they receive. Currently, officials said slightly more than half of the casino’s team members are vaccinated. The venue’s board of directors planned to meet to discuss additional precautionary measures regarding Covid-19.
