At a recent meeting of a special House committee, Missouri Lottery Commission Executive Director May Scheve Reardon (l.) said illegal video gaming machines are cannibalizing revenue from the lottery and the state's 13 casinos, leading to decreasing funds for education. She said an estimated 14,000 machines operate in Missouri, particularly along the I-44 corridor.
