Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich will deliver the keynote address at the Winter Meeting of the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States, set for January 6-8, 2017 at the Valley Ho Resort in Scottsdale. The annual conference examines gaming issues that are particularly relevant to legislators and other policymakers.
Brnovich has served as Arizona’s Attorney General since January 2015. Previously he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona and also served as the state’s Assistant Attorney General. NCLGS President Bill Galvano, Florida Senate majority leader, said, “As the co-chairman of the National Association of Attorney Generals’ Gambling Committee and as the former Director of the Arizona Department of Gaming, Attorney General Brnovich is particularly well suited to address an audience focused on gaming policy.”
The meeting kicks off with Gaming 101, a series of policy discussions to help legislators understand critical gaming issues and trends. In addition, industry experts will make presentations to NCLGS committees, including Responsible Gaming, Pari-Mutuels, Lotteries, Casinos and State-Federal Relations, covering internet and tribal gaming issues. General sessions led by the International Masters of Gaming Law will address e-sports and other emerging topics.
