South Korean foreigners-only casino operator Paradise Co. has a new CEO, Choi Sung-wook. The company’s board appointed him to a two-year initial term, and charged him with helping the operator rebound from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Choi replaced Park Byung-ryong, who served for four years. He has been with the company since 2006, and previously acted as general manager of Paradise Walkerhill in Seoul and vice president of Paradise Casino Busan. In 2019, he was promoted to CEO of the Busan resort.

Paradise’s other casinos are Paradise City in Incheon, a joint venture with Japan’s Sega Sammy Holdings, and the Jeju Grand. The firm recently reported 2020 losses of almost US$100 million.
