New Chairman Named for Pennsylvania Gaming Board

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has appointed former Harrisburg federal prosecutor David Barasch as the new chairman of the state Gaming Control Board.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has appointed former federal prosecutor David Barasch as the chairman of the state Gaming Control Board. He replaces Bill Ryan, who will remain on the board as an appointee of former Governor Tom Corbett.

Barasch, 67, was the U.S. attorney for Pennsylvania’s middle district from 1993 to 2001. Before that, he was the state’s utility consumer advocate, and held top posts under former Governors Robert P. Casey and Ed Rendell. He ran unsuccessfully for state attorney general in 2004.
