Caesars Entertainment has been acknowledged as a WasteWise leader in sustainable business practices by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Caesars was one of three organizations recognized for in the EPA’s Pacific Southwest Region. • MGM Resorts, which operates 13 resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, has canceled all live entertainment through June. Suspended productions include ongoing shows by Cirque du Soleil, David Copperfield and Terry Fator, and concerts from Bon Jovi. • Starting May 4, all Wynn Las Vegas and Encore employees had access to free Covid-19 testing. Wynn Resorts partnered with University Medical Center of Southern Nevada to provide the testing at no cost. • St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin is one of 10 sites in the region offering free Covid-19 drive-thru testing. This testing began May 1. • Two Michelin-starred restaurants at Macau’s City of Dreams have closed permanently, Melco Resorts and Entertainment Ltd confirms. The Tasting Room and Shinji by Kanesaka have closed as part of a renovation of the Nüwa hotel tower.Macau gaming operator SJM Holdings will transfer 1,000 employees from peninsula property Grand Lisboa to its new Cotai integrated resort, Grand Lisboa Palace, as it prepares to launch later this year. • Genting Cruise Lines will provide two of its ships, the SuperStar Gemini and SuperStar Aquarius, to temporarily house foreign workers in Singapore who have recovered from Covid-19. The ships have undergone testing by the Singapore government to ensure they are safe and sanitary.
