A revised version of Michigan Rep. Brandt Iden's (l.) sports betting bill still taxes sports betting adjusted gross revenue at 8 percent, even though Governor Gretchen Whitmer wants 15 percent. The licensing fee was changed from $200,000 to $100,00. The bill also allows professional sports leagues to use official data on in-game bets. Online gaming was dropped from the bill because of the governor’s opposition.
