Software supplier Agilysys announced that the Odawa Casino Resort in Petoskey, Michigan, has selected the industry-leading Agilysys solution suite—including Visual One PMS, InfoGenesis POS and rGuest Pay—to streamline efficiency and optimize guest service at the 137-room property.
The property’s executive team wanted state-of-the-art technology that not only would increase operational efficiency but also would enhance the guest experience.
“The Agilysys suite is a great fit for us, with software that addresses the entire guest lifecycle, including property management, point-of-sale and payment gateway solutions,” said Eric McLester, general manager of Odawa Casino Resort. “Visual One PMS will streamline our hotel operations from arrival through departure, while InfoGenesis POS and rGuest Pay will boost food, beverage and retail efficiency and reduce the risks associated with card acceptance. Agilysys has been a trusted adviser to tribal gaming properties for many years, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
Odawa Casino Resort is implementing the following Agilysys solutions:
• Visual One PMS—a comprehensive and fully integrated property management system that offers a wide range of best-in-class features and functionality, including front office operations, guest history, housekeeping, reservations management and more.
• InfoGenesis POS—a comprehensive point-of-sale system that combines an easy-to-use terminal and tablet touch-screen application with industry-leading offline capabilities. Designed for multi-unit and complex operations, InfoGenesis POS features real-time reporting, support for packages and prix fixe menus, and multi-language capabilities that drive service flexibility and increase operational efficiency.
• rGuest Pay—the Agilysys payment gateway solution that enables complete and secure payment processing. It leverages one of the only payment offerings that includes validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE), which reduces the potential for malicious hacking and fraud; a Payment Information Proxy (PIP) that secures data arriving via e-commerce interfaces; and robust tokenization, which eliminates storage of cardholder data; and a full range of fixed and mobile EMV-ready payment devices that ensure compliance with new card security regulations.
“Casino hotels that want to beat the competition must leverage technology to improve overall property performance,” said Jim Walker, senior vice president of global revenue at Agilysys. “With the implementation of our property management, point-of-sale and payment gateway solutions, Odawa Casino Resort is making a commitment to both efficiency and guest service.”
