Tax hikes in the Philippines has sent a number of Asian-based iGaming companies to look for greener pastures on the Isle of Man. The demand for licenses has risen 30 percent year over year, according to Inside Asian Gaming.

“We are exceptionally busy at the minute processing a significant rise in the number of applications for online gambling operators,” said Steve Brennan, CEO of The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. .

Brennan said 55 licenses fall under the Commission’s supervision with “several more in the pipeline,” for an increase of 21 in the last 12 months.
