OPAP Hires Two Former Ladbrokes Officials

Two former Ladbrokes officers recently were hired at OPAP, Greece's largest gaming firm. Michele Fusella, former IT director at Ladbroke's Sportium Apuestas Deportivas S.A., was named chief technology officer and Ian Catchick, former international director for Ladbrokes.com, was named chief product officer. Vaios Karantinos also was promoted to chief operating officer-gaming halls.

OPAP SA, the leading gaming company in Greece and third-largest in Europe, recently hired two former Ladbrokes officials, naming Michele Fusella as chief technology officer and Ian Catchick as chief product officer. Vaios Karantinos was named as chief operating officer-gaming halls.

Most recently Fusella was IT director at Sportium Apuestas Deportivas S.A., Ladbrokes’ joint Spanish venture with Cirsa. Prior to that he was head of International IT for Ladbrokes and chief technology officer for TSPEX.

Catchick most recently served as international digital director for Ladbrokes. He also was new territory launch director and interim digital director for Belgium and digital director for Spain. Catchick also served in various senior roles at Gala Coral.

Karantinos has served as sales director at OPAP since 2014.
