California-based Optec Displays has named casino supply veteran Bob Tortorello as director of sales, multi-location accounts. In his new role, Tortorello will be responsible for sales to U.S. national accounts, casinos and professional sports for display messaging boards and property commercial lighting applications.
Optec offers boards in a wide variety of sizes and pitches for both indoor and outdoor displays as well as outdoor LED lighting.
Tortorello has over 25 years experience in the gaming industry, and has spent the last 10 years in the worldwide sales of LED lighting solutions and display/signage. Previously with Startek Lighting as VP of sales, he also owned a high-end graphic strategic marketing agency (Graphic Phases, Inc.) for over 12 years that specialized in product innovation, development and marketing for table games, casino signage, slot machines and specialty retail items for Las Vegas marquis headliners.
Over his career in Chicago, Tortorello also has been chairman for several fundraising golf tournaments for The American Heart Association (Chicago Bears) and Cerebral Palsy Foundation (Chicago Blackhawks).
