Casinos and slot halls in Panama were permitted to reopen Saturday, March 6, a week earlier than originally expected.

Casinos in the districts of Panama, Panama Oeste, Coclé, Herrera, Los Santos and Veraguas all were allowed to reopen and will operate at 50 percent occupancy. Other health and safety measures will be observed, including social distancing and physical barriers to separate each gaming machine.

Customers will have their temperatures checked on entry and face masks are mandatory. There will also be enhanced cleaning and disinfestation of the machines each time a guest finishes playing.

According to Games Magazine Brasil, the district of Changuinola, in the province of Bocas del Toro, will enter a total quarantine on weekends, until Covid-19 cases decline.
