Pinnacle Leaves Slovenia

Online gambling operator Pinnacle has withdrawn from the Slovenia market as the country considers new online gaming regulations. New regulations are not yet in place in Slovenia, but Pinnacle and companies such as 888 Holdings have pulled out of the market ahead of proposed new licensing requirements.

Pinnacle as joined 888 Holdings and pulled out of the Slovenia online market as the country considers new licensing regulations.

PokerStars also left the market last year.

Pinnacle sent an email customers in the country saying it was leaving the market for regulatory reasons.

Slovenia has been considering new online gambling regulations for close to four years, but last year notified the European Commission it intended to regulate the market.

The announcement comes about two weeks after Pinnacle announced it was also pulling out of the Polish market as that country is also considering new gaming regulations and a tax on gaming turnover, rather than revenue.
