Pinnacle Sports made a small move to acquire the domain name Pinnacle.com, but in an online world where ease matters, it could help the company significantly.
The company has been found online at PinnacleSports.com since 1998, but has been trying to get the Pinnacle.com domain. That domain, however, was owned by Pinnacle Data Systems, Inc., a Phoenix-based electronic documents systems developer.
According to SBC news, Pinnacle Data Systems was recently purchased by Avnet, another Phoenix-based tech firm. Avnet then sold the domain for an undisclosed price. Pinnacle Data Systems is now based at PinnacleDataSystems.com.
Though there’s been no word on when Pinnacle Sports will make the domain shift, the SBC report noted the change will make it easier for Pinnacle customers and push more traffic towards the Curacao-based sportsbook.
