Playtech Gets Sun Bingo Contract Over Gamesys

Playtech’s bingo division, Virtue Fusion, has signed a five-year deal with News UK to operate the publisher's Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo products. The move replaces Gamesys as News UK’s main supplier.

Playtech’s bingo division Virtue Fusion has agreed on a five-year contract to operate News UK’s Sun Bingo and Fabulous Bingo games.

Playtech replaces Gamesys which previously had the contract in what is seen as a major acquisition for the company.

Virtue Fusion will power the web and mobile version of the games. A roll-out of new offerings is scheduled for August to allow players to move to the new network.

Sun Bingo is the UK’s largest and most popular bingo websites.

“The Playtech-powered Sun Bingo will use cutting-edge technology to offer best-performing and highly innovative bingo and side games, with fantastic promotions and prizes and the industry’s largest jackpots,” Playtech chief executive Mor Weizer said. “This is a fantastic partnership that is aligned with our ongoing strategy of working with the best operators and media brands in regulated markets. We look forward to working closely with News UK to deliver a first-class product.”

In another matter, Playtech has hired former William Hill executive Kevin Kilminster to oversee customer relations, studio and product development, business development and sales for Playtech’s online live dealer casino operations. Kilminster formerly ran Hills’ live casino and in-house Vegas casino division.
