Playtech Launches Bingo-First Strategy

The first time a supplier has offered a combined bingo software and content strategy, Playtech ONE recently launched its multi-channel games and systems across Mecca Bingo's retail, online, mobile and 12,000 in-hall bingo handheld terminals. The launch includes Playtech's popular Adventures in Wonderland and Heart of the Jungle slots.

Playtech ONE recently launched its multi-channel games and systems across Mecca Bingo’s range of products, representing the first time a supplier has successfully offered a combined bingo software and content strategy. The seamless connection of games and systems covers Mecca Max handheld devices plus Mecca’s retail, online, mobile and 12,000 in-hall bingo handheld terminals. Adventures in Wonderland, Heart of the Jungle and other popular Playtech slot games have gone live as part of the initial content launch.

Earlier this year, Playtech released its retail server-based software across Mecca Bingo’s 2,300 U.K. terminals and several other omni-channel system integrations, including the pioneering Coral Connect, which has attracted more than 260,000 customers. The nationwide retail deal increased Playtech’s share of the U.K. LBO market, the largest it has attained within the U.K. retail bingo sector, and complements its long term online bingo partnership with the key, tier-one Playtech licensee, Mecca. Playtech Retail powers global 40,000 terminals that provide a full enterprise management system for land-based venues and complete operational control for licensees. The system provides back-office management tools including player, content and multimedia management, rules-based rewards, jackpots, tournaments, bonusing, loyalty, cash desk facilities, responsible gaming, security and monitoring.

Playtech Chief Operating Officer Shimon Akad said, “The retail team, in line with our pioneering omni-channel strategy, is going from strength-to-strength, as is our relationship with Mecca following the successful retail software roll-out this summer.”

Mecca Head of Slots Mohammed Zabed added, “We’re delighted that this strategically important project has come to fruition following the nationwide software agreement we signed with Playtech earlier this year. This is a bingo-first and goes a long way towards meeting our omni-channel strategy and, more importantly, our customer needs.”
