Century Casinos, based in Colorado Springs, said it will close its eight casinos in Poland beginning January 8. The company has a two-thirds interest in Casinos Poland Ltd., which contributes 4 percent of its overall cash flow.

It also operates casinos and racinos in Colorado, West Virginia, Missouri and Canada.

The company said in a statement it expects the pandemic to harm the company at least through the first part of this year.
