PR News, the top publication of the public relations industry, has named Caesars Entertainment Executive Vice President Jan Jones Blackhurst “CSR Professional of the Year” for leading the operator in corporate social responsibility.
Blackhurst, the former two-term Las Vegas mayor who no oversees communication, government relations and corporate responsibility for Caesars, was recognized for leading Caesars’ efforts in diversity, social and environmental responsibility and philanthropy.
Blackhurst was chosen from finalist that also included executives from McDonald’s Corporation, Verizon and Time Warner Cable.
“I am proud to be a part of an organization that values social responsibility and sustainability and look forward to continuing the great work,” Blackhurst said.
