R.I. Twin River Hotel Could Open This Summer

Rhode Island’s Twin River Casino is expecting to open its 136-room, $30 million hotel this summer. The hotel will fit in with the surrounding community, says John E. Taylor, chairman of Twin River Worldwide Holdings.

The Twin River casino’s $30 million hotel in Lincoln, Rhode Island could open this summer, perhaps by the middle of August. It will have as many as 50 full-time employees, according to John E. Taylor, chairman of Twin River Worldwide Holdings.

The hotel, attached to the casino, will have 136 rooms on four stories, plus a pool and spa.

Taylor told WPRI 12, “The casino design was really meant to fit in and be reflective of the community in which we live,” Taylor said. “You are not going to see a lot of neon or anything like that. We try to be sensitive.”
