Its gaming commission has announced it will invite bids for a casino for a master planned resort a few miles from Athens in the old international airport, Hellenikon (l). Caesars is so far the only company that has expressed interested in the project, but others are expected to bid as well.
Churchill Downs Inc. will purchase Presque Isle Downs (l.) and Casino in Erie, Pennsylvania and Lady Luck Casino in Vicksburg, Mississippi from Eldorado Resorts for $229.5 million. With the recent sale of its social gaming subsidiary Big Fish, the acquisition of Presque Isle Downs will give Churchill a foothold in a real money iGaming market in Pennsylvania.
