Ward Shaw recently was named vice president and general manager at River City Casino in Lemay, south St. Louis, Missouri. Shaw had been general manager at Tropicana Evansville in Indiana, since June 2010.
Prior to joining Tropicana, Shaw served as general manager at Harrah’s Lake Charles casino and as assistant general manager at Harrah’s Kansas City, and also held other executive roles at Harrah’s Entertainment. He began his career in the casino industry as director of slots at Harrah’s St. Louis. Shaw also has been an independent consultant to gaming clients around the country.
A spokesperson for Pinnacle Entertainment, River City owners, said, “We are extremely excited that someone with his vast experience and knowledge of gaming will be joining the Pinnacle family.”
