RMG Extends Licensed Betting Offices Content Deal with SIS

Racecourse Media Group (RMG) has signed an extension to its licensed betting offices (LBO) content partnership with Sports Information Services (SIS).

RMG Extends Licensed Betting Offices Content Deal with SIS

The deal covers both the distribution and transmission of audio-visual and data from RMG racecourses. SIS will make this betting content available to LBOs across the UK and Ireland.

RMG’s stable of racecourses includes Jockey Club courses such as Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom Downs, Newmarket and Sandown Park. It also oversees a number of independent courses, including York, Goodwood and Ayr.

Betting content from the RMG-run racecourses will be available to LBOs through SIS until at least the end of 2028. The latest deal extends a partnership that stretches back more than eight years.

RMG: Revenue from LBOs “Significant”

Commenting on the extension, RMG CEO Nick Mills welcomed the deal. He said LBO revenue remains a “significant” source of media rights income for the sport of horseracing.

“We look forward to extending the partnership and working closely with SIS and our LBO partners to grow interest and betting on RMG content,” Mills said. “LBO revenue remains a significant media rights income for the sport and this deal further increases the value of RMG’s content in the LBO marketplace.”

SIS CEO Richard Ames added: “I am delighted to have extended our arrangement with RMG for a further three-year period. Over the last eight years of representing RMG’s rights the relationship between the parties has gone from strength to strength.

“This new arrangement is testament to our collaborative working practices.”

The extension comes ahead of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival, which starts tomorrow (March 11) and runs through until March 14. The annual event is one of the highlights on the UK and Irish racing calendars.
