Rush Street Interactive has signed a 10-year deal with the Pro Football Hall of Fame to operate a sportsbook inside the complex in Canton, Ohio.
The sportsbook will be located in the Hall of Fame Village, which will also feature a retail and entertainment complex when construction is complete. Already signed: Don Shula’s, a steakhouse restaurant; Esports Entertainment Group; and Topgolf Swing Suites at the Fan Engagement Zone.
“With the legalization of sports betting in Ohio, we see a variety of opportunities and benefits across our multiple business lines,” said Hall of Fame Village President and CEO Michael Crawford in a statement. “We selected RSI because of its outstanding reputation, impressive sportsbook results in other markets, and the quality and experience of its team.”
With sports betting legislation now signed and sealed, Ohio bettors expect to place wagers by January 1, 2023.
“We want to get this up and running as soon as possible, but we’re building a whole new industry,” Senator Kirk Schuring to the Cincinnati Enquirer. “We’re hoping it can be done sooner.”
The Hall of Fame Village share’s Rush Street’s push for a memorable experience and “as well as our passion for building a one-of-a-kind destination that will delight the millions of guests that will visit the Hall of Fame Village campus each year,” said Rush Street CEO Richard Schwartz in a statement.
